DOD Publications adheres to the Fair Use guidelines the U.S. Copyright Office established. Our policy allows any text to be quoted in any form (e.g., written, visual, electronic, or audio) up to 250 words without written permission, provided that the quote does not constitute 25% or more of the total text of the work in which it appears. Proper copyright attribution is required. For permission to use content exceeding 250 words, please contact us.
